Dr. Spaulding is proud to be a metal-free dental practice, offering advanced tooth-colored materials instead for ultimate safety, comfort, longevity, and beauty.
Zirconia Crowns - Sometimes called 'white steel', zirconia is a material that is used to create quality crowns that are whiter, brighter, and more translucent than Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal crowns. Zirconia also provides longer lasting and stronger restorations than the average porcelain crowns. Zirconia is 100% biocompatible and is the preferred material for numerous medical applications including strong long-lasting artificial hip joints.
E-max Crowns - New all-porcelain crowns. The core of the e-max crown is as strong as metal, tooth-colored so there is no opaque layer, resulting in stronger and more life-like beautiful crowns. E-max crowns can be made thinner and finer, so they look more natural.
Cerec® - Cerec® technology is a computer aided design(CAD) technology that allows patients to have their crown or caps shaped and fabricated within the same 90 minute visit. Easy on your schedule and incredibly convenient and fast! CEREC® 3D technology combines a camera, computer and computer-controlled milling unit into a precisely controlled system which allows Dr. Spaulding to create an incredibly detailed digitized model of your damaged tooth. The cerec software designs a beautiful and personalized custom protective restoration with microscopically accurate margins. This precision allows us to conserve more healthy tooth structure and create a more perfect fit over the surface of the damaged tooth.
